There is nothing so touching as a unique original painting of a country church. This one is in the historic area of Bethania, NC just after a beautiful, fallen snow.
Bethania, NC is a National Historic Landmark, established in 1759 as a self-sufficient farming community which allowed both Moravian and non-Moravian settlers. The "Alpha" chapel never developed into a church with the building being moved to grounds of Mizpah Moravian Church. Finally, in 2001, the chapel was relocated to its present site, when it was donated to the Town of Bethania by Mr. and Mrs. Burton Winfrey. The building remains in use as the town’s meeting hall.
This 18x20 is on a 3/4 inch wrapped canvas with a gloss seal.
